These adorable terracotta face planters are growing hair! Just in time to take home for the end of Semester 1.
7th and 8th grade students have been working so hard on their EXPLOSION BOOKS! First they created textured crayon rubbings - which in themselves were lovely. Then then layered the piece with one hue from the watercolor box, but had to create as many tints and shades and versions of that color that they could mix. This was followed by some bits of complementary color, as well as some jazzy marks from chalk pastel. When the paintings were finished we cut them into small squares, added even more details with paint pens, metallic markers, and sharpe to create these magnificent EXPLOSION books. Check them out!! |
